How to Choose a Magento Developer

If you're looking for a Magento developer, there are a few things you need to consider. First off, your business requirements. Why do you think you need a Magento developer? What do you expect this developer to accomplish? Is there a certain timeline within which you want the project to be finished?

Most importantly, what is your main reason for seeking a Magento developer? Do you may have an existing website that you want to move to Magento? Perhaps you have a Magento website for which you need continuous support. In any case, you have the option to choose a developer who is directly affiliated with Magento, or one who uses Magento independently.

Of course, there are advantages to choosing the former, such as the developer having certified developers on staff. Magento provides a number of certifications for developers and solution providers, and these cover everything, from front end to back end and admin processes.

After choosing your potential Magento developer, talk to them about your needs and how they intend to achieve your goals. Developers usually offer case studies and/or a portfolio of their past work, but you can also ask them directly about their credentials and processes so you don't have to deal with surprises you may not like. For example, if the project is tight on the schedule, you may not want a developer who's halfway across the world, unless you are assured that communications will not be delayed.

After checking the qualifications of a prospective Magento developer, you can start making the more practical considerations. For example, is location important to you? Do you want to be able to meet with the project manager or developer face to face, or will you be satisfied with phone calls or online conferences? Read on magento optimisation

Also look into quality issues. For example, what type of development processes, such as code reviews, deployments, version control, etc. does the developer use?  Do they offer other related services such as SEO, design, etc.?

Finally, how do you get along with the developer and his team? Do you find them easy to work with? Are they returning your calls or emails promptly? Are you even comfortable talking to them? This is more important than you think. While don't hire a Magento developer to make friends, you do need someone you can along and work work with. Otherwise, you could end up unintentionally undermining the results of your own project. View https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzEcFb-WzTw
